Broccoli Salad Recipe

Fresh Broccoli Salad is creamy, salty, tangy, sweet, and absolutely delicious. My grandmother has been making this for holidays and family gatherings for as long as I can remember, and i have been hooked in to it for an extended time. Make this recipe to urge your veggies into the foremost satisfying crowd!

ust like this easy grape salad, it’s Easter fun. And if there’s one way to get me to eat broccoli, it’s this salad!
Danced with cheese, bacon, and a delicious mayonnaise sauce, this dish will turn you into a broccoli fan. OK, maybe you don’t quite like broccoli, but I bet you’ll love it in this salad!
And if the dressing on the salad makes your stomach happy, you should also make a seven-layer salad, which uses the same sauce

Ingredients :

  • 2 heads of broccoli (floral florets, cut into bite-size pieces (discard stems))
  • 8 ounces bacon (cooked and coarsely chopped)
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese (diced into inch by inch pieces)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • To garnish
  • 1 Cup mayonnaise
  • Semi a cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tsps white vinegar

Directions :

In a large bowl, combine broccoli, bacon, cheese, and onion.
In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar. Pour the sauce over the broccoli mixture and toss together until everything is evenly coated.

Broccoli salad are often served immediately, but it tastes better if you cover it and refrigerate it for 1 to 2 hours before serving. Leftover are often store in an secure container in fridge for up to 4 days.

You should get around 7 cups of broccoli florets from the broccoli heads, which is roughly 28 ounces.
A great shortcut is to use packaged and ready florets. you continue to got to chop some big pieces, but it saves tons of time!
You can use white, yellow or red onions, whatever your preference.

There are many variations of broccoli salad, so be happy to feature other ingredients supported your personal preference: dried cranberries, raisins, sunflower seeds, chopped pecans, etc.
You can make the subsequent adjustments to the sauce: plain Greek yogurt rather than mayonnaise, and honey rather than sugar. you’ll also use honey sauce if you do not need a creamy dressing, soured cream , or a milk-based dressing if you would like it creamy but not mayonnaise.

Enjoy !
